Join the Team at Roundwood

We’re excited to be growing our team at Roundwood and are currently recruiting for two roles: a part-time permanent member of our Bar Team and a casual Kitchen Assistant.

Roundwood is a busy and varied venue, and no two weeks are ever the same. From regular service to weddings and special events, we’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable people who enjoy working in a dynamic environment and can adapt to changing needs.

General Member of our Bar Team

Part-time permanent role | 12–18 hours per week

We are looking to expand our bar team for 2026 by recruiting an experienced member of bar staff on a part-time basis. This role is for 12–18 hours per week, with regular shifts on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. There will also be opportunities to pick up additional hours to cover holidays and events, so flexibility is important.

You’ll be joining a small, friendly and dedicated team who work closely together across different areas of the business. As a member of our bar team, your responsibilities will include:

  • General bar duties, including serving drinks and changing barrels
  • Light kitchen duties, such as preparing bar snacks
  • Food service and customer care
  • Washing up and cleaning
  • Light administrative tasks
  • Other duties involved in the day-to-day running of the venue

You will sometimes be required to work alone and will also act as a key holder for the building.

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience working behind a bar and is confident serving customers. The most consistent feedback we receive from our guests is how fantastic our team is, so we’re keen to find someone who will help us continue to provide a warm, welcoming and professional service.

The ideal candidate will be flexible not only in their availability but also in the range of tasks they are happy to undertake during a shift.

  • Rate of pay: Dependent on age and experience
  • Age requirement: 18+
  • Additional requirement: Due to some late finishes (up to 1am), applicants must be able to travel to and from Roundwood independently of public transport

Kitchen Assistant

Casual role | As and when required

We are also seeking a casual Kitchen Assistant to help support our kitchen during busy function periods. This role will mainly involve Friday and Saturday evenings, typically from 6pm–11:30pm, although additional hours may be available from time to time.

Kitchen Assistants work alongside our chef to help prepare and set up buffets for events, followed by clearing away and washing up. On occasion, you may also assist with table service during weddings and other seated meals.

While some basic knowledge of food hygiene and allergens would be helpful, full training will be provided. More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is:

  • Hard-working and reliable
  • Quick to learn
  • Confident using their initiative
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Rate of pay: National Minimum Wage + tips
  • Age requirement: Suitable for candidates aged 16+
  • Additional requirement: Applicants must be able to travel to and from Roundwood independently of public transport

If you enjoy working in a friendly team, thrive in a busy environment and are looking for a role with variety, we’d love to hear from you.
