THE DELL & THE GLADE
The Dell is the larger of the 2 camping areas. There are 10 pitches available for hire and pitch allocation will be determined upon arrival. The Dell, as its name implies, is situated within a dell in the grounds.
There is no access for cars and so all equipment will need to be carried from the car park down to the pitches (and up again at the end of the week). We have an electric gator-style vehicle to help you with your equipment on arrival and departure.
The Dell is accessed via a slope or steps and so is not suitable for campers with mobility difficulties.
The Glade is the smaller of the 2 camping areas. There are 4 grass pitches and 3 hard-standing pitches suitable for tents or small campervans.
It is next to the car park and is easily accessible and suitable for guests. It is also close to the toilet/shower block. All pitches will be allocated on arrival.
We do not currently have any facilities to dispose of chemical toilets. There is a short walk to the showers but there are no steps involved. The car park is just next door to this area.
We are unable to accept caravans or campervans/motorhomes over 7m in length.
Amenities
Located in the Dell area we have the barn, which is the perfect space to ‘hang-out’ in after a long day exploring or if the British weather is being very ‘British’. The barn is a perfect space for children to play, it also has picnic tables and games as well as access to communal fridges and mobile phone charging lockers in our traditional phone box.
The table tennis table is available for everyone to use. Either bring along your own bats or hire some from us. We also sell table tennis balls in the shop.
We have a communal BBQ area for guests to use and we sell coals and other essential BBQ items in our small shop on site.
We have facilities for disposing of rubbish and recycling separately and ask that campers separate their rubbish into the correct bins. We respectfully ask that you take home any broken camping equipment with you at the end of your stay.
